นัก GIS ใช้เว็บไซต์นี้ แปลงพิกัดภูมิศาสตร์ ระบบ Geographic Coordinate System และ Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) (Grid Coordinate System) ตามเว็บไซต์นี้

เมื่อผู้ใช้งาน GPS ไปออกสำรวจภาคสนาม และได้ค่าพิกัดเป็นระบบ Geographic Corrdiante System มา หรือที่เรานิยมเรียกว่า แลตติจูด ลองกิจูด  ท่านสามารถแปลงไปในระบบ Grid/Projected Coordinate System ได้

สำหรับท่านที่อยากทดลองใช้ ก็เข้าสู่โปรแกรม Google Earth ก็ได้ แล้วอ่านค่าพิกัดแผนที่มา

ในรูปแบบ  decimal degree เช่น 13.75741 100.49001 หรือ  N13.75741 E100.49001

หรือใส่รูปแบบ degree decimal minute เช่น  N 13 45.445 E 100 29.401
